Will bats eat my bees?

However, since most bat species are insectivorous (insect eaters) you may be worried that the bats might try to eat your bees. Luckily, you don’t have to choose between the two due their scheduling difference.

Because bats are nocturnal, they don't typically eat bees who are already tucked in to their hive for the night. Bats primarily eat moths, nocturnal mosquitoes, leafhoppers, and beetles.

Bats will rid your garden of these pests during the night, and diurnal (daytime) insects like bees and butterflies will be free to pollinate during the day.

Both bats and bees are backyard guardians: they help the ecosystem sustainably flourish, and both coexist well together in the same area.
